Laser Therapy

Laser therapy is a medical treatment that utilizes focused light, it uses light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation.

In medicine, laser therapy allows surgeons a high level of precision while focusing on a small area which in turn damages less of the surrounding tissue. This form of therapy can result in less pain, swelling and scarring compared to traditional forms of surgery.

Lasers are more precise than traditional surgical instruments, and cuts can be made shorter and shallower. This causes less damage to tissue. Laser operations are usually shorter than traditional surgeries, they can often be done on an outpatient basis.

Physical Therapy

Regenerative Conditions / Treatment or Medicine

Degenerative disk disorder is a condition that forms when one or more discs between the vertebrae and spinal column begin to deteriorate resulting in pain. The discs that cushion the vertebrae act like rubber and allow for flexibility and bending of the back. In time the cushioning is worn down and no longer offer effective protection. Degenerative treatment may include occupational therapy, physical therapy, special exercises, medication, weight loss, joint injections or often referred to as “Facet Joint Injections”.

All the following can be effective in pain relief. Degenerative disc disease is an age-related condition that happens when one or more of the discs between the vertebrae of the spinal column deteriorates or breaks down, leading to pain, despite its name, degenerative disc disease is not a disease, but a natural occurrence that comes with aging.

Physical Medicine / Rehabilitation

Independent Medical Examiner

An independent examiner is a licensed physician, psychologist or other healthcare representative who can help answer legal or administrative questions.

Our medical examiners can help with disability claims, workers compensation, personal injury lawsuit, sexual harassment within a workplace and impaired professional’s programs.

Before the examination occurs, your medical records and any other documents relevant to your injuries (such as your injury report or statements you’ve given in your case) will be sent to the independent medical examiner. The doctor will then decide whether to review the documents before or after the examination.
