Dr. Usama Gabr

Usama Gabr is a Pain Management and Orthopedic Specialist.

He is a world-renowned surgeon and operates out of multiple practices.

Dr. Gabr is an American board-certified physician in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as well as a certified independent medical examiner.

He graduated with the highest honors from Cairo University in Egypt where he obtained his medical degree.

He completed his formal medical training internship and his Residency at the University of Cincinnati Hospital in Ohio. It was here he discovered his passion for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
He was so dedicated and focused within the program, the University elected him as the chief resident physician.

Dr. Gabr attended the prestigious University of Illinois in Chicago

and later completed his fellowship training through the University of Chicago hospital

under a federally funded National Institute of Health (NIH) achievement grant.

He was given this grant due to his impeccable research and perseverance.

This opportunity has allowed him to publish numerous research articles and he frequently presents his research findings at medical conferences and assemblies.

Dr.Gabr is highly recognized within the Middle East and often invited

to assist in international training and internally in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation/Interventional Physiatry Medicine field.

He has served as the president for both North Carolina and South Carolina Egyptian Medical Society and

because of this honor, he travels frequently and is invited often

to be a guest speaker at medical conferences and at various medical universities in the U.S and the Middle East.

Dr. Gabr is an active member of the Academy of PMR, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, Michigan PMR society, South Carolina Physical Medicine Society, Egyptian American Medical Society, and Association of the Academic Physiatrist.

He currently serves as the medical director of Columbia Clinic,

Capital Surgery Center and the current president of the National Arab American Medical Association (NAAMA)

Dr. Gabr founded Columbia Clinic, Pain & Ortho-Spine Institutes with the purpose of creating an opportunity for his patients to restore their functional ability and quality of life.
